Day 1 (LD): WAGGA WAGGA TO MILDURA – Thursday, 24^th April 2025

Come along with Priest’s Coaches as we head off on a charming all-inclusive cruise along the Murray River aboard the spectacular Murray Princess. Today we head off and make our way through southern inland NSW to Mildura, stopping along the way for lunch by the river. We will enjoy dinner at the hotel and head to bed for our last night on dry land for the next 3 days.

Day 2 (BD): MILDURA TO MURRAY BRIDGE – Friday, 25^th April 2025

This morning, we start the day with a delicious hotel breakfast. We then hop aboard the coach and head into town to take in the ANZAC Day service and parade, before heading on to Mannum to meet the Murray Princess, our home for the week. Mid-afternoon the Murray Princess departs historic Mannum, the birthplace of the Murray River trade and communication, and heads upriver while you enjoy a Welcome Dinner. As we cruise under floodlight to our overnight mooring at Murray Bridge, you may see nocturnal wildlife on the riverbank. Watch for kangaroos, hairy-nosed wombats, tortoises, egrets, and many other species. The on-board entertainer provides music for the night owls.

The Murray Princess – 3 nights

Day 3 (BLD): MURRAY BRIDGE TO SALT BUSH FLAT – Saturday, 26^th April 2025

In 1879 the first bridge to span the Murray River was built at Edwards Crossing, which quickly became the bustling township of Murray Bridge. After a hearty breakfast, choose to explore the town’s historic landmarks and local attractions, such as the Roundhouse, or go on a wildlife tour at Monarto Safari Park (booked on board at own expense). Those who choose to experience Monarto Safari Park will arrive back on board the Murray Princess in time for lunch then join us in the Sturt Dining Room for a special presentation on the bounty of food and wine produced in the Riverland. This afternoon, we continue our journey upriver and tonight we moor at Salt Bush Flat. After dinner, enjoy being entertained by our on-board musician.

Day 4 (BLD): SALT BUSH FLAT TO COOLCHA – Sunday, 27^th April 2025

This morning, join a guided nature walk where our guide will share the secrets of the local flora and fauna. It’s a great way to get in a little exercise before the Murray Princess departs and cruises downriver. Near Fromms Landing, we turn and head downriver to River View Lodge (near Piggy Flat / Coolcha) where our discovery vessel waits for a wildlife tour. Travelling in small, personalised groups, we explore the maze of the river, and the birdlife is amazing. Watch for darters, herons and egrets feeding along the river’s muddy edges. The afternoon offers a choice of bocce or fishing challenges before a delicious final night dinner in the Sturt Dining Room.

Day 5 (BLD): COOLCHA TO HAY – Monday, 28^th April 2025

We head back to Mannum and after breakfast, we reluctantly say farewell to the beautiful Murray Princess as we arrive at the Mannum Wharf. We board our coach and begin the journey home. From Mannum we head to Pinaroo for a lunch stop, before continuing to Hay. Here, we will enjoy our last dinner together before settling in for the night.

Day 6 (B): HAY TO WAGGA WAGGA – Tuesday, 29^th April 2025

After a tasty breakfast in the hotel, its back on the bus for the last leg of our journey back to Wagga. As we arrive back in town, we say farewell and see you next time, after a week of stunning beauty and good times.
